Spend two days hiking from Luang Prabang through jungle trails, rice fields, and remote Khmu and Hmong villages. You will cross the Nam Khan by boat, sleep in a family homestay, and visit Tad Sae Waterfalls. Guides such as Chai, Arun, Chan, and Oun are praised for their care and English skills. Expect steep paths, an early village morning, and simple conditions.

“Our lovely guide pointed out things of interest and answered all our questions on our fairly challenging hike, and we loved our village homestay: I was sooo cosy in my little cabin. The waterfall swim the next day was bliss. My only disappointment was that the second day's walk was so short. We'd been expecting another good hike. My email about my restricted diet hadn't been registered, though a conversation with our guide at the office meant that I was provided with food I could eat. Anyone with dietary issues probably already knows this, but check and double-check before setting off.”
