“Highly recommend the Tajogaite hike, it was an experience to remember. We were a small group of 8 and we were very lucky to have Juan as our guide. He was knowledgeable, down to earth and provided great information about the area and the island as a whole during the hike. His English was great and we had a fantastic time during the 4h hike. A taxi picked us up from the tourist office to the start of the hike. The hike was not hard, but do bring a jacket as the weather changes rapidly.”

Bring ID, water, and proper hiking shoes. The route is thrilling, but not suited to people with vertigo.

“Amazing walk, stunning views and landscape. If you can do this long walk it is well worth it, however, other tour groups appeared to be getting far more information stops and our guide had no interest in keeping the group together, she was unconcerned about the slower members of the group. It’s not advertised as a walk which has to be completed in a certain time, but the pace was quick. I have always been led to believe that a group such as this should go at pace of slowest walker, not the case here. Members at back of group could have been struggling and guide would have had no…”

“WOW!! This was a great tour, super personalized and informal. Sandra shared a lot of knowledge about the history of the volcanos, but she kept it very fun. It was so nice to be there in the afternoon/ early evening away from all of the big bus tours. I also appreciated that she and her friend Simona took lots of pictures for us so we could focus on the experience. For a snack, she shared with us her homemade mojo sauce (which was so yummy!!) and served us Canarian wine in her grandmother’s glassware, which was such a sweet touch. In summary, you should definitely sign up for this experience!!”
